Quiet on the floor at 7 a.m.

I got my first wakeup call  – weight check – at 5:40 this morning, which means I have been asleep for almost 6 hours, with the exception of a 3:00 med check.  6 a.m. followed with lab work (this time I was awake, she didn’t have to have me up).

Then the clamoring sounds began. Lots of people next door, carts were being rolled into the room. Half an hour later, the noises started to subside. About 6:40, the patients’ wife found out that he died.  It’s such a sad sound.   Joel & I prayed for her and the rest of the family.

What a reminder that we are not promised the morning.
